The Summer’s Redtag Nymph is lightly weighted with a very small brass bead. Despite the name, it’s an effective year-round pattern.
Tied on a size 14 or 12 wet fly hook, it has quite a big, bushy marabou tag, black rabbit’s hair dubbing with a splash of violet ice dub and a grizzly cock hackle.
In this form, it’s intended for fishing slow running waters with a bit of colour for the bigger Chub – perfect for the Radbuza river!
