The Red & Olive Bug is a very buggy nymph tied with olive rooster feather, at the tail end, and olive and red rabbit dubbing.
It’s tied on a caddis style hook with a 3.3mm tungsten bead at the head to help get the bug down to the river bed in search of bottom feeding fish.
The red shoulder dubbing acts as a hotspot.
I like to use this pattern when the water is a little colourful.
