This is the wet, soft hackle spider version of the Pilsen Drayman dry fly.
The Pilsen Drayman soft hackle pattern is tied on a size 14 caddis hook with yellow thread, a died-red pheasant tail tail, two windings of peacock herl seperated by green micro chenille, an olive-died, grizzly, soft rooster hackle and a small brass bead at the head.
Most of my flies are tied with Chub as the main target and this pattern is no exception however, it is attractive to most river and stream species.
