The Pheasant Tail 23 is a short nymph tied with a pheasant tail body and tail, wrapped with gold wire and topped with a rabbit fur collar.
I like to tie this on a size 14 nymph hook with either a brass or tungsten bead.
I use brown 140d tying thread and fish this fly to attract the local Chub – but it catches a bunch of other species.
